The jacket will be okay for light rain, however it is not waterproof—and that is by design! We prioritized comfort over waterproofing. Waterproof fabrics tend to be stiff, “crinkly,” and noisy—not something you want to wear for a long flight or a bumpy car ride. Instead, we use a buttery-soft, high-stretch fabric that feels ultra-soft but looks polished. It’s designed to keep you comfortable on a 7-hour flight from New York to London, rather than dry in a heavy downpour.
